Shell House (Wynyard Place): Whole of Building LCA

The Wynyard Place redevelopment will deliver a dynamic new gateway to Sydney’s central business district. The project involves a new modern state-of-the-art office tower at 10 Carrington Street and restoration of the historic Shell House and Wynyard Lane. Shell House is being developed by Brookfield Office Properties.

A Whole of Building LCA helped Shell House achieve a 6-star Green Star Design rating.

A Life Cycle Assessment was completed on the project using Simapro LCA software to the EN15879 standard, Green Star criteria and Edge’s own Whole of Building LCA tool.

The project achieved 7/7 Green Star credit points for the Life Cycle Impacts credit, while also highlighting the environmental impact ‘hotspots’ over the life cycle of the building.
