The Industrial Ecology team at Edge Environment have compiled data from their recent best practice trial strip-out at the Dexus managed Governor Macquarie Tower [GMT].
Working with Demolition Plus, this report details the results of the resource recovery efforts, identifying reprocessing pathways, and the possible diversion rates already available to industry. On the back of this trial and ongoing work from the Better Buildings Partnership, the following resources have been released to industry
- A standardised template for reporting strip out projects
- A material re-processors guide for industry
It is the vision of Edge Environment and the Better Buildings Partnership to move the industry toward 80% resource recovery in office strip out from the estimated current industry average of 20%.
