Since the early 1990s numerous life cycle impact assessment (LCIA) methodologies have been developed. The widespread use of several different methodologies creates confusion over which methodology to use and criticism when the use of life cycle assessment (LCA) gives different results depending on the methodology chosen.<\/p>\n

This paper<\/a> reports on the work to develop a LCIA method for use in Australia in all sectors and in the construction sector specifically. The work has been conducted as part of a project funded jointly by the Building Products Innovation Council (BPIC) and AusIndustry (through the Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP)) entitled \u201cBuildings and the Environment \u2013 Full Life Cycle Assessment\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
