The conference is exploring concepts of waste, industrial ecology, resilience and urban design through the application of sound sustainability science.<\/p>\n<p>Edge Environment&#8217;s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/edgeenvironment.com\/profile\/blake-lindley\/\">Blake Lindley<\/a>\u00a0is\u00a0presenting two topics at the conference:\u00a0<em>The evolution of industrial ecology in Australia<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Closing the loop on office refurbishment: addressing waste through collective action<\/em>.\u00a0In these presentations, Blake is highlighting the need for policy and governance based on academic research\u00a0to\u00a0support businesses to\u00a0achieve practical results in sustainability.\u00a0A practical application of latest thinking in these fields is provocation for continual improvement in the application of science to the built environments, and guidance for innovation in sustainability rating tools.<\/p>\n<p>The conference attracts\u00a0some of
