As an information and decision support tool,\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Coast Adapt is<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0set to help<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0coastal managers in\u00a0Australia assess risks and impacts and understand adaptation options. I<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">t is the culmination of the NCCARF journey to date.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans'; font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Launched to an invited set of stakeholders in Melbourne, Coast Adapt is in beta form and open for review through NCCARF. The tool provides detailed information on local-scale risk assessment through to developing\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">business<\/span><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">\u00a0cases and financing adaptation.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Helen Wilson,\u00a0Department of Environment and Energy said\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">we are all stewards of this portal,\u00a0to enable it to succeed we need to use it, provide feedback, anecdotes and tell the story of the value that it adds to our work and adaptation to climate change in Australia&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Dave Rissik, Deputy Director,\u00a0NCCARF is excited to launch Coast Adapt to the adaptation community and sees this as the beginning of a new phase, where Coast Adapt builds capacity and informs adaptation to climate change.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: black; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Edge Environment has been contributing to NCCARF since its inception and congratulates NCCARF on this achievement.
