Ben Kneppers, who was part of the Edge team between 2009 and 2012, has recently launched Bureo Skateboards in Chile. Bureo skateboards<\/a> apply industrial ecology to address the problem of discarded plastic fishing nets on the Chilean coastline. The company collects the nets and processing them in order to create skateboards. The process is a beautifully practical solution to a significant waste problem in Chile and also raises awareness of environmental issues.<\/p>\n
