\nEdge Environment, in collaboration with Lake Macquarie Council won an award in the Flood Management Association and NRMA Excellence Awards for our work developing the Lake Macquarie Flood Resilient Homes Guidelines. Tom Davies traveled to Deniliquin to receive the award at the conference dinner and also gave a presentation on the Property Resilience and Exposure Programme the next morning.<\/p>\n

There were 4 contenders and we were up against stiff competition. The Hinze Dam extension, a $400M project conducted over 11 years took the first prize.<\/p>\n

The FMA conference is a confluence of floodplain managers and experts from around Australia and a conference that we recommend for those wishing to learn from experienced managers and world leading experts.<\/p>\n
