Having a Remediation Plan for modern slavery shouldn\u2019t be overlooked. Remediation is part of the mandatory reporting criteria of the Modern Slavery Act, with the ultimate goal of a Remediation Plan being to protect the victim. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is different to a Whistleblower Policy which describes an organisation\u2019s process for receiving and responding to grievances. A Remediation Plan should include immediate steps to take to ensure the safety of the victim, who and how to report concerns to both internally and to the appropriate authorities and include steps for decision making about the type of remediation that an organisation may provide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
