Congratulations to Jacqui Bonnitcha for being offered an internship at the Climate Change Planning Unit of the Urban Planning and Design Branch (UPDB), UN Habitat, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Jacqui will go to Kenya in July for a six month internship and return to Edge Environment in January 2014. Whilst working at the UN Jacqui will contribute to 2 key policy and planning papers: 1. Infrastructure planning for adaptation in secondary cities in developing countries, and 2. City Planning; planning controls, tools and resource requirements for effective adaptation planning. These papers will be used to establish a UN team to address adaptation to Climate Change in developing countries.
Edge Environment is very pleased for Jacqui and look forwards to supporting her from afar during the internship, and bringing her back into the team and sharing the experience in early 2014.
