Transport for NSW: Zero Emissions Bus Strategy

Edge was commissioned by Transport for NSW (TfNSW) to conduct energy and emissions modelling for the roll-out of NSW’s Zero Emissions Bus Strategy.

Using data provided by metro and regional bus operators, Edge developed a complex profile of the energy demand required by the transition to electric buses over a range of transition scenarios.

Working with a diverse consortium, demand was mapped against grid capacity to determine infrastructure upgrade requirements and key implementation risks. In addition to the demand modelling, Edge also prepared a full Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions profile under all transition scenarios to guide the decisionmaking process for both the metro and regional bus portfolios.
