Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) is undertaking a major program of upgrades to railway stations, the Transport Access Program Tranche 3 (TAP3). To maximise efficiencies, a series of standardised designs for station access elements are being developed. The life cycle assessment (LCA) undertaken by Edge covered selected standardised design elements for the TAP3. The aim of the standardisation of design elements is to create an efficient design that meets the objectives of the program: to reduce time and cost during construction and improve health and safety and sustainability outcomes.
