Inland Rail is an extensive federal program divided and delivered by ARTC. The program includes the design and construction of rail infrastructure for freight transport across inland Victoria, NSW, and Queensland. ARTC has divided the program into 13 projects or sections of rail infrastructure delivered by independent teams of designers and contractors.
Each of the projects aims for an Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) score. This goal requires the collection and report of hundreds of metrics and qualitative information. ARTC appointed Edge to develop a data collection and reporting system that could help track the progress of all 13 projects against their IS targets. As a result, Edge delivered data collection templates and an automated dashboard that summarises and presents insights into the projects and the whole program.
