Optus/Singtel are Asia’s leading communications group. It operates three types of network infrastructures, including mobile, fixed and satellite, as well as base stations. It also provides various direct and wholesale services, such as fixed and mobile telephony, internet access and satellite services.
Edge Environment helped assess the group’s direct and indirect environmental and social footprint using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). The LCA was commissioned to identify, quantify and describe the material direct and indirect environmental and social impacts of Singtel/Optus’ operations in Australia and Singapore.
The LCA was completed in 2015 and Edge are currently supporting Optus/Singtel to inform an action plan to improve the organisation’s sustainability strategy and Sustainable Supply Chain Management program.
