Edge worked with Nando’s and Green Industries SA (GISA) over a 6-month period to conduct and complete a full suite Operational Waste Management Plan (OWMP).
This included site visits to several South Australian restaurants to understand Nando’s internal waste systems and areas for improvement opportunities. The final scope of works includes a roadmap for Nando’s that enables the delivery of effective waste management outcomes involving both landfill diversion and a reduction in associated Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.
Edge were able to provide best practice recommendations as the basis for all the guidelines and frameworks outlined in the OWMP. The OWMP is adaptable for the broad range of restaurants across the national Nando’s portfolio.
Edge also delivered ‘Procurement Improvement Pathways’ which recommends best practice operational improvements that will assist any changes and improvements to the Nando’s supply chain and procurement process.
