Frasers Property Australia Pty Ltd (Frasers) secured a 10-year lease deal with global supply chain giant CEVA Logistics to occupy a 90,000-square-metre warehouse and office facility at its West Park Industrial Estate in Derrimut in Melbourne’s western industrial market.
Edge provided whole of life optimisation advice and Green Star whole building LCA for the development, which has an end value of $80 million.
The purpose of the report is to present the results of the LCA for the project and to justify and report how many Green Star points can be achieved for the Green Star Design and As-built v1.1 ‘Life Cycle Assessment’ (19A) Credit.
From the LCA results the cumulative impact reduction over the seven mandatory Impact categories is 299%. This cumulative reduction equates to 7 green star points for ‘Life Cycle Assessment’ (19A) Credit. The project has performed excellently and exceeded the LCA credit upper benchmark by 169% (299% less 130% cumulative impact reduction %).
