I am a reliable, and experienced business leader with over fifteen years of project and operational management experience in chemistry and data science organizations in New Zealand and Australia. I solve customer problems by focusing on the people and the processes they operate within. Deeply passionate about the ability of science to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges; I believe companies can scale their impact best by activating these solutions within their supply chains.
As Global Director of Operations for Oritain, I oversaw scientific traceability projects across the globe and count as my most rewarding those where provenance was successfully applied to validate the authenticity of environmental and social impact claims. Working across food, pharmaceutical and fashion supply chains; these projects allowed businesses to take control of their supply chains; in particular identifying and removing modern slavery from deep within their supply chains. Before joining Oritain, I was the Procurement Manager for RJ Hill Laboratories Ltd in Hamilton, New Zealand. Both roles allowed me to understand the untapped potential that exists in supply chains to meet business strategic needs of today, and explore those that will emerge tomorrow.
Recently, I completed my Executive MBA with the University of Technology Sydney. This course allowed me to refine my skills and explore contexts which help me relate to a wide variety of clients and their business contexts.
I work in sustainability to help businesses connect with the S in ESG. Out of the office I sit on the board of Be Slavery Free (a not for profit working to prevent, abolish and disrupt modern slavery in Australia and around the world), and am a proud dog dad to Bruce (a true RSPCA special; part English Staffy, part Chihuahua, fully adorable).
