My year 11 economics teacher first taught me about greenhouse gases and to appreciate the impact we have as humans. This set me off on my trajectory to want to help solve this problem. If I can use my skills to help organisations transition to sustainable business models, it will make sustainable choices easier for everyone.
In 2020, I completed the Business Sustainability Management online short course from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). I’m a Future Fellow Maker from The Centre for Sustainability Leadership from 2017. I’m certified as a Prince2 Project Management Practitioner and also in event management. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004, with a Bachelors in Commerce and Business (Management) completed in 2000.
Financial, technology, project management and commercial acumen has been cultivated from years of working in global technology companies and as a chartered accountant. From working internationally, across sectors and across cultures I have developed an empathetic communication style.
My favourite projects are when there is an intersection of my diverse skills, an opportunity to learn and collaborate with my team and clients, while creating sustainable impact. Whether it’s assessing climate risks or calculating carbon mitigation options, there’s always something new to learn and work with others to find sustainable solutions.
After hours I’m often in nature, enjoying music through dance and spending time promoting and exemplifying sustainable travel.
