Michael Gabadou

I have 30 years of experience in senior executive roles in manufacturing businesses across Asia-Pacific and Europe, including twelve years with Interface, a well-recognised sustainability leader. 

I have focused on business sustainability practices since half-way through my career, after I realised the damage the old Take-Make-Waste model was doing to life on this planet and recognised the huge opportunities climate action could open up.

My career has taught me the power that an ambitious sustainability business vision, with a consistent execution plan, and an engaged workforce can have on delivering a leading brand and successful results.

Having left the manufacturing world, my purpose is now to share my knowledge and experience and support organisations deliver their full potential as they integrate ambitious sustainability objectives in their business strategy.  This includes working as an executive coach, engaging with senior leaders on sustainability, and advising companies on both strategy and implementation.

In complement to my business experience, I hold a MSc of Sustainability Management, a MBA, am a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and have degrees in Engineering.

I try to spend most of my spare time being active among nature, cycling, bushwalking, skiing and enjoying the fragile beauty that surrounds us.
