I specialise in sustainable consumption and production and, as an agronomist, am particularly oriented to help farmers and agrifood companies improve their social and environmental performance. I’m also passionate about finding ways to inform our clients’ progress to their clients and the final customer – facilitating good communication between producers and buyers. Other areas of expertise are lifecycle assessment, environmental product declarations, sustainability standards and protocols, and identification of best practices in sustainability.
My favourite projects are those where we get the chance to work closely with companies – understanding their processes, encouraging them and then embarking on sustainability journeys that help them to improve their operations while creating new, better products.
A career in sustainability allows me to contribute, even if only a little, to a better world. My goal is to help companies understand why sustainable action is important and teach consumers about the role they play, so they can, in turn, teach their kids, and we can all enjoy the goodness of the world we live in.
I studied to be an agronomist at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, later getting my MSc in in Climate Change Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland.
All my free time is dedicated to my two-year-old son, making sure he’s healthy, loved and will grow up to appreciate and care for the world he’ll live in.
