I have primarily worked in Resource Recovery, Waste Management and Circular Economy, working with clients across the property, hospitality, and Government sectors. This is complimented by a construction-based background in project management, managing diverse stakeholders and consultants through complex projects. I utilise my unique construction perspective to unlock new solutions in achieving sustainable outcomes.
My favorite projects are those where my role allows me to provide education and tools to others, to empower them to achieve sustainable outcomes themselves. Two highlight projects to date are:
· Accor Group Operational Material and Waste Management: preparing a comprehensive guide and templates to service the entire Accor Group portfolio; allowing hotel operators to develop their own sustainable procedures and operations for resource and waste management across their service offerings.
· Sustainable Packaging Toolkit for Brookfield Properties: developing a package of resources to guide the implementation of sustainable packaging across a variety of property groups, including offices, retail and food & beverage sectors.
I completed a BEng (1st class honors) in aeronautical engineering, along with a BPM (project management) at the University Sydney and am currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Change management at UNSW.
My passion for sustainability is driven by my love of the outdoors and the environment, and recognising it is the basis of our existence. The world around us has given us so much, but we are currently testing its limits. As the environment cannot protect itself, I want to contribute in any way I can to protecting it, for our generation and many more to come.
In my spare time, you will find me hiking, at the beach, or stretched out in my hammock. When I can relax my mind enough, I love to read, and am often guilty of becoming so immersed in a book I read it from start to finish in one sitting.
