I am passionate about leading organisations to unlock the power of business to drive the sustainable development agenda forward and deliver business value in the process.
After five years in London working with some of the most ambitious sustainability teams in the world, I joined Edge as Head of Sustainability Leadership & Communications. While I was in London, I was lucky enough to work with some incredible companies including Lego, Google, Maersk, Mondi and many more companies across the UK, Europe and US where sustainability is deeply entrenched. I’d kept an eye on the sustainability agenda back home and am excited about the big opportunities for Australian businesses, Government and NGOs to align even more closely with global sustainability momentum.
There’s some truly amazing work happening to drive the sustainability agenda forward, but we can’t forget to take a step back, look up and out and tell the story. This is why I am excited to be focusing on the following 3 areas at Edge and with our clients:
I help leaders in this space refine how they define themselves as sustainability leaders, from a technical and creative branding side to championing innovation for their industry and sector.
I bring best practice reporting principles to organisations to improve how they are communicating their sustainability story. This helps to attract not only investors but also prospective employees.
This is a critical part of sustainability: sharing the value proposition around sustainability to all stakeholders. There are so many technical documents like Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), ratings, Science Based Targets (SBTs) that are created that are not understood or noticed by the right audiences. I am keen to help sustainability professionals and leaders communicate their work so that it reaches their audience; whether it’s customers, investors, employees or other stakeholders.
I have a Master’s degree in Sustainable Built Environment from UNSW and a Bachelor of International Relations (Business), International Marketing and Public Relations with Bond University.
My chosen career in sustainability comes from my passion for sustainable development and driving this opportunity for business, to be the leaders for the change we need to see in this world. I also volunteer with Park to Pacific, a project that showcased a more liveable community precinct and produced a report on community survey findings that has been used in a number of forums.
Having grown up around the ocean and the water, I have always had a connection to nature. In my spare time I enjoy water and nature based activities.
