Andy Chambers



In my role as an Edge Associate I focus on working across water and NRM management, sustainable food and wine production, and energy and waste management. My career spans over thirty-five years including government experience in forestry, natural resource management and water allocation planning and twenty years in environmental consultancy, including as a co-founder of Seed Consulting Services which merged with Edge in 2019.

My other substantive role is as Managing Director of AirborneLogic. I have a Bachelor of Applied Science from Charles Sturt University. I’m a supporting member of (UN Sustainable Development Goals) and a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. Of particular interest for me is the development and implementation of environmental and sustainability management systems, water resource management, sustainable food systems, corporate social responsibility reporting, and assisting communities with repair and restoration of degraded environments. I also have a passion for exploring how emerging technology can improve resource use and land management practices and find pathways for sustainable food production.

My career highlights include assisting Taylors Wines to develop their approach to reducing their greenhouse gas emissions and participate in ISO14001 accreditation and being an advocate for social environmental change in diverse industry sectors such as wine, horticulture, printing, manufacturing and recreation.  I’m honoured to have worked with some of my clients for over twenty years, in some cases working with three generations of family.

In my spare time I enjoy volleyball, making wine, tackling bushwalking sections of South Australia’s “Heysen Trail”, volunteering with a Landcare Group and spending time in our bushland garden with my family.
