Edge Environment has joined Planet Ark’s Australian Circular Economy Hub (ACE Hub) as its first Technical Supporter. As a Technical Supporter, Edge will leverage its experience in circular economy, waste and resource recovery, sustainable procurement and life cycle assessment, helping the ACE Hub to achieve its mission to facilitate the transition to a circular economy in Australia.
Announcing the partnership Paul Klymenko, CEO of the Planet Ark Environmental Foundation, said “We’re excited to welcome Edge into the fold. The Hub is intended to help Australia accelerate its transition to a circular economy, and we have no doubt that Edge’s technical expertise in this space will help us fulfil that aim.”
Jacqui Bonnitcha, Head of Edge’s Circular Economy and Lifecycle Thinking added “For a few years now, circular economy has been a bit of a buzzword in Australia, with only a limited amount of practical action. Joining the ACE Hub as a technical partner offers a great opportunity for us to play a part in putting circular economy theory into practice. It’s a space in which cross-industry collaboration is going to be the key to success, and the Hub will be at the centre of that. ”
The partnership will see Edge provide consultancy support across a range of ACE Hub projects, including technical analysis, policy development and best practice research, as well as providing strategic advice through various ACE Hub working groups.
