Edge is Hiring: Sustainability Leadership Role

This Role:

Edge has restructured the business due to our continued growth, success and to better position ourselves as a National leader in sustainability advisory services. The new structure has resulted in a new Leadership role to manage an established team of successful Consultants delivering projects across the following areas:

  • Sustainability, ratings & tools
  • Organisational and project sustainability implementation
  • Sustainability systems tracking & monitoring
  • Risk management, Due Diligence & Auditing
  • Environmental Management & Governance.

The role represents an opportunity to build on an existing business but also steer expansion into new markets, services and geographies. While the initial focus will be in the Infrastructure and Property sectors, there are significant growth opportunities in food, fast moving consumer goods, manufacturing, events and othe relevant sectors. The successful candidate will be joining a growing organisation and contribute toward the strategic direction of the company.

The role will be nationally focused, with flexibility to work from Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum twelve years’ experience, including at least five years leading a team.
  • Be responsible for proactively leading, managing and providing feedback to the team.
  • A track record of setting and delivering against sales, revenue and quality targets.
  • Provide technical leadership, project management and project delivery in one or more of the following areas:
    • Sustainability, ratings & tools.
    • Organisational and project sustainability implementation.
    • Sustainability systems tracking & monitoring.
    • Risk management, Due Diligence & Auditing.
    • Environmental Management & Governance.
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-quality client relationships and partnerships.
  • Develop a high performing, collaborative team to deliver impact and purpose.
  • ISAP and/or GSAP accreditation is preferable.

Customer Service Provision:

  • To provide Edge customers with the best service and advice to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, to time and budget.
  • To develop and maintain a network of key contacts in the industry to include clients and prospective client’s collaborators and competitors.
  • To deliver high quality work and establish a high profile and reputation for Edge.
  • To foster “client friend” relationships with key companies / organisations within all areas of Edge’s expertise.

Financial / Project Management:

  • To effectively deliver and support the workflow pipeline so that resource requirements and customer expectations are effectively managed: managing projects against budget for net profitability, managing project progress and the production of deliverables against established targets/milestones and deadlines.
  • To contribute to business development by working with business stream owners to identify potential clients and projects, meet with clients, prepare proposals for new work or variations to current work.
