Working from home has become the new normal and offices across the country are sitting empty, for now.  As we start planning a return to offices, we have the chance to re-define systems, behaviours and expectations in the workspace. You’ll learn:

  • How to make behvioural change easy – identify and use employee interests to drive engagement
  • How to empower waste/sustainability leadership in the workplace
  • How to run workplace programs on a shoestring – where you can turn for funding and the ready made resources/toolkits and programs you can access for waste education
  • How COVID has effected waste service provision and how you can contract more intelligently to reduce costs
  • The key steps to implement best practice signage, office layout, cleaning and office procurement

Panellists (facilitated by Blake Lindley):

  • Zoe Baker (Program Manager, CitySwitch, City of Sydney) – Zoe leads the CitySwitch program in Sydney, and led the development of a range of hugely successful ‘plug-and-play’ sustainability behaviour change resources for members.
  • Lloyd Parker (Consultant, Edge Environment) – Lloyd is Edge’s in-house expert in practical behavioural change waste education and was recently voted Finder’s Green Rising Star of the Year 2020 for his work on waste reduction in the AMP Capital portfolio
  • Ryan Swenson (Head of Sustainable Development, Officeworks) – helping shape the company’s long term sustainability and responsible sourcing strategy, whilst supporting the business to achieve their short term objectives. As part of their Positive Difference Plan, Officeworks is committed to reducing their environmental impacts, which includes initiatives such working towards zero waste to landfill.
