We’re pleased to announce that CircleCo has become part of Edge, adding further momentum to our efforts to accelerate Australia’s transition to a circular economy. The addition comes at an important time, with the recovery from Covid-19 offering a vital opportunity to build new, circular business models.
CircleCo is a dynamic, fast-growing company that has built up a formidable reputation for circular economy design, engagement and training, working with organisations across Australia. This expertise aligns perfectly with our long-standing experience in circular economy research and strategy, resource recovery, sustainable procurement and, of course, life cycle assessment.
Commenting on the integration Jonas Bengtsson, Edge CEO, said “It’s great to have CircleCo join us. We’ve known Jenni for a long time and have always been impressed with her knowledge, drive, and commitment to collaboration. CircleCo’s experience, particularly in relation to circular economy design, will dovetail perfectly with the work we’re already doing in the space. We’re also particularly excited to be able to offer our clients access to CircleCo’s range of toolkits and resources.”
Jenni Philippe, CircleCo’s founder, added: “I got involved in the circular economy world as it represents a fantastic opportunity to drive sustainable business transformation, and make use of approaches such as human centred design and systems thinking. Edge’s technical expertise is hugely complementary to what CircleCo does, and together we can create a whole that is truly greater than the sum of its parts.”
CircleCo will become an integral part of our rapidly expanding circular economy team, working with clients in sectors such as government, property, infrastructure, building products, consumer goods and retail. The team’s aim for 2020-21 is to play a central role in pushing circular economy from being a sustainability buzz-phrase, into practical, on-the-ground action.
