Ashleigh Gay joins Edge to drive sustainability leadership

Ashleigh Gay

Edge Environment welcomes its newest team member, Ashleigh Gay, as Head of Sustainability Leadership. Ashleigh brings over a decade of experience and an international perspective to help our clients amplify their impact and lead the sustainability agenda.

Ashleigh is returned to Sydney after working in London where she jointly ran the sustainability practice of an integrated creative agency, Radley Yeldar. During her time here as Director of Sustainability Strategy, Ashleigh worked with clients across the UK, Europe and US including Google, The LEGO Group, Mondi, CRH, Morrisons, Lightsource BP and many others on award-winning sustainability reporting, strategy and communications projects.

In her new role, Ashleigh will work closely with the team and our clients to translate science-based solutions into engaging, credible and relevant outcomes for our clients and their stakeholders including investors, employees, customers and communities.

Announcing her arrival at Edge, CEO Jonas Bengtsson said, “sustainability has gained enormous momentum in Australia over the last few years, but there’s still been a sense that something’s been missing. Companies are doing great work but aren’t always getting the credit they deserve for their leadership.”

“Ashleigh’s work in the UK was focused on solving that problem: bringing clients’ achievements to life, and creating sustainability stories that engage and inspire. With her on board, as we emerge from the current crisis, we have a perfect opportunity to create a new sense of change, leadership and ambition.”

Ashleigh added “As a long-time fan of Edge, I am thrilled to be joining the team. It’s a privilege to be joining such a well-respected, mission-driven consultancy. I look forward to bringing the lessons I learned from working with some of the world’s most ambitious sustainability teams, and combining this perspective with my new colleagues’ exceptional array of experience.”

Before moving to London, Ashleigh spent seven years with OneSteel (now InfraBuild) across marketing, sustainability and business development, also representing them on the various industry panels and associations.
