This role:

Edge Environment is seeking motivated, personable and confident individuals to join us as part of our Circular Economy and Lifecycle Thinking (CELT) team or Sustainability Delivery (SD) team, with the opportunity to contribute to projects across the entire Edge service offering.

Applicants should demonstrate a passion for sustainability, and a background in science, engineering or economics and sustainability, with a particular focus on experience in:

  • Property & infrastructure
  • Circular economy
  • Environmental and resource management

Essential skills:

  • Demonstrated ability work independently with strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in client settings, and communicate with client representatives, staff, and client customers in a professional manner.
  • A passion for communication, engagement and education, demonstrating an ability to work and collaborate with businesses and the community.
  • Interest in developing industry networks and skills in business development.
  • Skills in desktop research, literature reviews and data analysis.
  • Excellent analytical skills (including Microsoft Excel expertise), report writing and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing communication presentation development and delivery.
  • Capacity to work outside of regular business hours to meet auditing schedules (when required) and travel across the greater Sydney/Melbourne region.
  • Undergraduate degree or post-graduate degree
  • Competency in MS Office programs and have attention to detail

Desired skills, experience and attributes:

  • Knowledge of or interest in the Infrastructure Sustainability Council of Australia (ISCA) Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating Scheme, Green Building Council of Australia Green Star Rating, and NABERS Waste tools as a means of demonstrating and benchmarking industry performance.
  • Experience in the circular economy and/or the waste and recycling sector.
  • Experience in the construction/infrastructure industry, especially in a sustainability or environmental capacity.
  • Experience in undertaking audits in waste, property or environmental fields, or similar industries.
  • Experience delivering workshops, stakeholder engagement and coordinating meetings.
  • Experience in planning, writing and implementing operational and construction waste/sustainability management strategies.
  • Holds a valid Construction White card & demonstrated experience on construction sites.
  • NABERS Waste Accredited Assessor, Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professionals (ISAP), and/or Green Star Accredited Professionals (GSAP).
