Reporting to the Business Unit Head for the Circular Economy and Lifecycle Thinking (CELT) team, this role will contribute to the impact of the CELT team and related service offerings for Edge. The role represents an opportunity to build on existing business and to contribute to expansion into new markets, services and geographies. You will be adaptable and able to balance priorities spanning delivery, business development and team management.
It will also be your responsibility to ensure high quality sustainability project work is delivered for Clients across diverse and growing areas within our business, with special focus on leading the Lifecycle Thinking consultants.
Current Lifecycle Thinking services include:
- Life cycle assessment (LCA).
- Environment Product Declarations (EPDs).
- Hotspot analysis and benchmarking.
- Whole of life cost/triple bottom line assessment.
With this position, we are also expecting to extend our capability and service offering in Materials Flow Analysis and Circular Analytics.
It is expected that in this role , you will:
- Have extensive knowledge and experience in LCA, EPD and Materials Flow Analysis processes.
- Advance your experience in SimaPro and broaden interests in learning other tools such as. OpenLCA and GaBi.
- Develop your interest and experience in social LCA.
- Extend your experience and interest in database management and tool development programming.
- Acquire knowledge in industry rating tools, methods and certifications, including Green Star IS Rating tool, Climate Active, SCince-based Targets, eTool LCD, to name a few.
- Have experience in applying tools in the growing field of circular analytics.
- Cooperate with and contribute to service delivery in circular economy, waste and resource recovery.
- Develop your interest and experience in carbon related work, carbon footprinting, Climate Active certifications, Science-based targets and social supply chain risk / modern slavery.
You are also expected to develop strong industry networks, build client rapport and contribute to the Edge learning and sharing environment. It is also expected that you will be cooperative and participate with your colleagues to enhance the Edge culture and be self-driven and ambitious in driving your professional development as the opportunities arise.
- Minimum five years’ experience in a similar role with demonstrated experience in project management in the Consuling environment.
- Proven track record and experience working in LCA.
- Ability to provide technical direction, project management and project delivery across a range of projects.
- Ability to engage with client organisations and developing new business leads.
- Excellent report writing, analytical skills (including Microsoft Excel expertise) and attention to detail.
